Alliance One controls for fall security threats

Earlier this fall, news broke nationally about two separate security threats, the Shellshock/Bash bug and POODLE exploit, that presented differing vulnerabilities to information technology systems. Alliance One servers were successfully patched to mitigate for both the Shellshock/Bash bug and the POODLE exploit. Around the same time, Alliance One was made aware of a lesser known exploit, the Apache Cordova, which was also successfully mitigated through upgrades to our ATM Locator app (version 1.0.4). In addition to strengthening our security position, the app upgrade resulted in significantly improving the performance of the Alliance One ATM Locator app on Android devices.
