Alliance One eliminates foreign ATM surcharges for member/customer cardholders of participating financial institutions (mostly credit unions and a few small community banks). The process relies on card issuers to provide us their bank identification numbers (BINs), and ATM drivers to upload those BINs into their back-end systems, allowing ATMs to waive the foreign ATM surcharge.
